I just recieved this controller in the mail about an hour ago and already I'm fiddling around with it making a few little beats and what not. The software that it comes with is very easy to install, so for all you people looking to buy your first controller (like I was) it didn't cause me any headaches. I simply plugged in the controller, put the disc in the cd drive and off it went installing all of the drivers and software. I'm not an expert but so far the E-MU is standing up to all of my expectations.

This midi controller is the best in its price range without a doubt. I compared it to the Oxygen series. Yes the Axiom may have more features, but you will pay much more for that item. This controller blows the Oxygen line out of the water. Although the keys are not advertised as being weighted, each key has a small steel weight attached to the underside to give it a weighted feel. I was very impressed. It also has 16 knobs, more than enough for controlling my favorite vsts in Fl Studio. It also works great with Reason. My only complaint is the included softsynth. EMU doesn't say it in the marketing materials, but it is mentioned in the manual (AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY BOUGHT IT THINKING THAT YOU ARE GETTING AN INCLUDED SYNTH), that you have to have an EMU AUDIO CARD in order for it to work. All in all I am giving this a five just becuase the keys and knobs feel great, and I already have enough vsts to not need the included one.
