I bought this item hoping that it will increase my browsing pleasure instead it was a total headache. At first the router had so much problem trying to connect to multiple devices. The router kept getting disconnected. After 4 hours of tinkering all was ok. But when I tried to surf the internet from my room the strength significantly dropped and my room is just 25 meters away..and I only have 3 bars. I am very disappointed with this product. I always trusted Linksys but not anymore..Do Not Buy This Product people!! or else you will regret it.

the product only works properly over a fixed connection. Wireless connection is not reliable and does not work in the next room. My iPhone cannot even connect in the same room. This was definitely the last Cisco product we bought.

I bought myself this wireless router to replace the others I had that weren't upto handling Internet activity spread throughout 2700 square foot house, so I was use to temperamental devices. This is the second WRT110 I have purchased, the first was for my parent's and for them it has been great. I don't think I've unplugged/plugged in a device this many times before. We have a VoIP system too that is connected directly, along with 3 laptops over wireless and a tower hard-wired. Yet this device cannot do the job. Yes, those are many devices connected but they are not connected all the time, maybe 1 or 2 are at a given time and the house phone doesn't get used much. I've updated the firmware as many recommended but it is still the same thing. Now I've reset the router and set it to the factory default. I've read reviews that laud this device, but I've read reviews from many people who have nothing but distain for it after their experience. I will give this one more try and then I will return it for something straight forward that can do what it promises. Lastly, this should've been an omen when the software that came with it stated that there wasn't an Ethernet cable attached on the tower. Factory default did nothing and it still doesn't recognise that an cable is connected. If you get this router and it works for you then you are a lucky individual, but if you have issues from the onset then return it immediately to save yourself a future headache and frustration. My recommendation would be the D-Link DIR 655 as people I know who have it are quite happy with it. Come on Cisco, I expected more from you.
