This is easy to set up and easy to use. No real down side to it- it's inexpensive and well made, and the receiver stores inside so you don't lose it between presentations.

After reading other reviews I purchased the Kensington 33373 Wireless Presenter to help when I give gardening talks. It works as advertised and the signal carries a fairly long distance. It worked without any problem with my Macintosh laptop and Keynote (a superior presentation program). I do wish the Presenter had a laser pointer built in - if you need a pointer you'll have to use a separate device - but overall I highly recommend this device.

I've previously used a strong infra-red remote that reached up to 60', but had to point the thing very accurately to get it to respond, which certainly must have been a distraction to my audience. Another minus: it had no laser pointer. My projector came with its own remote WITH a pointer, but is only good for about 15', if I'm at the right angle. Somebody loaned me a Kensingon 33373 and it was great, no aiming, good to 60', WITH laser pointer. There is no programming at all. Just plug in the usb radio and it works immediately. There are only 4 buttons, so rarely hit the wrong one in front of a crowd. You've got next slide, last slide, blank screen and laser; couldn't be easier. Insert the usb into the presenter and it turns off, saving your batteries. Very nice.
