Got this product from a frequent flyer rewards program..After 6 hours talking to support people I could barely understand, I was told that the system was not compatible with Vista 64 bit.. Tried the setup on my XP, but still didn't work. If you are not a computer wireless expert, and I mean expert!, do not waste your money. Customer support from Cisco was the worst I have ever experienced.

I have spent far too much time and far too many dollars trying to create wireless capability for playing music files stored on my PC through my home stereo. I have tried a couple of routers, finally downgrading to WRTG54 router so I could get the best compatibility with my WMB54. Even after 12 hours with Linksys live chat, emails and phone calls; adding an $80 repeater (at their suggestion)I cannot get music without a great deal of stuttering, skips etc. I can't seem to replace the antenna on the music bridhe which was the last improvement i could think of making. Linksys has shown no interest in solving my problem. Refuses to take back a product that I purchased at their recommendation that did nothing to improve fidelity. I'm so fed up w/ Linksys support that I can't imagine trying any further fixes with their equipment.

Ok So I read many reviews on this product before I purchased it. I am usually up for a challenge so the horrible reviews didn't scare me away. It wanted to have a clean look with my laptop and desk and didn't want to have my huge pc speakers out anymore. To begin, the specs may state that it is not Vista compatible. Linksys has a XP/ Vista firmware and utility update on there website so all is not lost. It did take me 4 hours , that's right 4 hours to update the firmware, install the correct utility and disable some un-needed drivers in Vista and some help from a very helpful on-line customer support person at Linksys to get this baby up and running. Now that it up I don't know how i lived without it so long. Upon first start up it sounded bass heavy and i had to turn my sub down but upon digging it found that it has a built in equalizer so that fixed everything. I saw some reviews about the sound quality so if you adjust your eq u are fine, and I and driving Athena speakers and sub. So now I can listen to my entire music collection in Itunes on ,my stereo and not have to hook up my Iphone to it. I can play internet radio direct to the stereo and watching movies on line is also more pleasing. Rememeber if you decide to buy this give yourself at least 4 hours for set up. be patient, and know that it will be worth it in the end.
