The 9-inch screen is too small for anything more than about 5-6 foot viewing distance, but other than that this unit works well, sounds and looks good, and has been sturdy and without problems for the month we have used it.

Pros: The picture is really good with a digital signal. The sound is as good as you could expect. It is loud enough, has no noticeable distortion and the bass is ok. It is very convenient for a kitchen or work area. Cons: The video quit after about a year. With a 90 day warranty that means I get to throw it out. The on screen channel indicator and the menu displays still work, but that's not very entertaining. The radio is quite hard to tune since it uses the same buttons for scan, tune, and preset select. The preset setup is cumbersome, requires the remote and is non-intuitive. The slightest power bump makes it forget the radio presets. Entering the channel directly from the remote is frustrating. It often discards the first digit that you enter. If you are not fast enough, it misses the dash number of digital channels. I often have to try three or four time to get the channel I want. Using the up-down buttons is not any better. You have to wait until the receiver tunes to the nest channel before you can push the button again. It can take a long time to get to the channel you want this way. Sometimes the unit locks up and must be unplugged to reboot it. Also I have had it enter the same stations in the programmed list twice. It has also "forgotten" the skipped station programming. A short power interruption resets the clock to midnight. The digital TV signal contains the time. Why can't it set its own clock. Summary: The firmware in this model is buggy. It seems to be that the four functions (TV, radio, DVD and clock) are just cobbled together without any attempt of integration.

Picture went after 7 months. Cost to repair was more than the original price of the unit. It was a Christmas gift for mom. Hope she enjoyed it for the few months it worked.
