I wouldn't use these cables where they're inserted & removed a lot. THey just don't seem that sturdy, however for a permanent install....they work great...especially for the price. I bought this one because I needed a 10' cable and this fit the need and price.

This is the thin version of Toslink cabling, which I use for ADAT in my home recording rig (with Yamaha, RME and Frontier Design ADAT). The extra length is needed for my sprawling setup. I doubt if StarTech manufactures these, but they seem to work as well as what Frontier Design shipped with their Dakota audio card -- though it is probably hard to tell the difference without expensive measurement gear.

I know thin is in, but it might be too thin. Feels like you could damage it if you kink it, but as long as you run it carefully, it works and it's a great price.
