This boombox is perfect in meeting its purpose If you want a ok sounding machine that can play CD/mp3/radio and Ipod. Thats what I was in the market for and it works well on all counts. The sound quality is not great, I am OK with that but was expecting a slight better sound given the size of this system.

I purchased a sony cd boombox with an iPod dock. I really like it. It has a good sound and is easy to use.

If you are looking for a great dock to charge up your I-Pod I recommend this product. For serious listening pleasure, this is not the box you want to feed your ears with sound, but you can plug it into your sound system and operate it remotely. I am happy with this box, that doesn't boom. It's good for a small child in an apartment, but not for a teenager. It's a nice box, but for $84 bucks you won't be bothering your neighbors with LOUD music.
