I got these base on previous reveiws. They got great reveiws and they are exactly what I expected. Great speakers fill the room nicely. Great looking too. I love em.

First - I am rating these 5 stars on price for performance ratio. These are not the best speakers money can buy, but you already know this if you are looking for speakers. I am building a small (i.e. cheap) system to replace my $500 HTiB, clearly I am not an audiophile since I bought a HTiB in the first place. Just looking for something better without spending thousands. This is the perfect buy for the average Joe like me - I want loud but clear sound. I am still waiting for the receiver to arrive, but just to try them out - I simply swapped the current home theater speakers with these 2. The difference is very clear. Great improvement over the HTiB's speakers, exactly what I was going for and that's before hooking them up to the Pioneer 919 AVR I've ordered. If you are going for something similar to mine (complete sound system for under $1K) these are great choice. If you want better sound, look at the speakers that go for about $300 a piece, but you do the math... [...].

I was looking for some decent speakers to put in a 5.1 array, and I came across these thinking "how could I possibly lose too much at this price?" The end result was that I didn't lose anything at all. In fact, these were everything I could have hoped for, really. They're crisp, they'll get loud, and they can PUMP bass. I'm not a huge audiophile or anything, but I've listened to plenty of speakers in my time, and while they may not be the absolute clearest mains I've ever listened to, they're worth double what you pay for. I have these running through a Sony Rx-V365bl receiver along with some old Optimus speakers in the rear and Sony in the center channel, with no sub. My walls shake and my feet tickle because of the volume and (particularly) bass these put out. If you're looking for a great set of floor speakers, especially if you're on a budget, look no further.
