I think these are fine headphones for the price and they seem to cancel out almost all external sounds, however, when they arrived they seemed to have a "screw loose" in one side and I hear a rattling when I move them around.I am contacting the manufacturer today and hopeful they will send me a new pair. I am using them for recording VO directly from my MAC and I think they will work well once I sort out this problem.

I wanted to get a better set of headphones for my ipod. I Started with Bose and though they sounded nice the reviews said they break easily. I tried a pair at Target. Then went and checked out the Senheiser. I didn't want an extra long jack, having to use the adaptor to take the jack from standard to ipod size. So I checked out the Sony 7506 set. I checked the majority of the reviews were all favorable. So I placed the order. I received them in about three days. Good Job Amazon. As far as the headphones go. At first they seemed a little warm, but that soon passed. I was really inpressed with the sound quality. The highs and the base are clear and crisp. You can distinguish the different instruments playing. I listen to a lot of New Age and World Music. These phones are made well and are comfortable to wear. They do cancel out a lot of outside noine. I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment.I'm very happy with my purchase.

Excellent sound, great build, comfy fit, lightweight - crisp highs, deep bass, smooth midrange - overall a fantastic set of cans
