No where in the product description does it say that 64-bit OS is not supported. When I tried to install the Digital Voice Editor software, I got an error saying the OS wasn't compatible. Since I had a new Dell sith Vista Home Premium, I thought it would be okay. So, I tried to install the software on my older XP system and it worked. The only disclaimer I could find was an footnote on page 59 of the user's manual and in the ReadMe file.

I have yet to install/try the Dragon Naturally Speaking software, but the recording device is superb. It has a minimal learning curve, has numerous options, such as reduced or accelerated playback speeds (great for transcription!!!), and has a myriad of volume playback options. Also, it seamlessly downloads recordings with a single click of the accompanying program. Also, it is lightweight, long battery life, and sleek look. I am extremely happy with its performance thusfar.

The recorder itself is very very cool, especially when paired with a Olympus ME-15 Microphone. The recordings are crisp, and a battery charge lasts forever. If you're planning on doing speech-to-voice transcription, I highly recommend this product as well. The included version of DNS is not full-featured, but is perfect for this purpose. If you think you're going to right a Best Seller while vacuuming the house and watching TV, however, it's not going to happen- You'll need to learn how to adjust your speaking slightly, and most importantly speak CLEARLY. It can't tell what you're saying if youmuffleallyourwordstogether or tink dat its kewl to tak l1ke dis. Neither can I. I use it for grading/annotating papers (professor), writing blog entries, and transcribing meeting notes. Highly recommended.
