The problem most folk have with the Sony batteries, is that they leave them in their laptops and use the wall plug. During that whole time, the Sony laptop tries to recharge the already charged battery, causing it to slowly wear down. Folk say... I never use the battery, when in fact their battery is in use as long as it is in the laptop and plugged in. A friend alerted me to this after my battery went the first time. Suggestion: Remove the battery from your laptop and keep it in your case for whenever you are traveling. This is actually a stupid fix, because... if the power goes out while you are working on your computer, your battery is in your laptop bag! The fix is actually a new computer, that has more up-to-date software and hardware, that sense when the battery if full and stops charging. But for those of us who don't have the money for a new laptop, we keep on buying batteries.

I have a fxa-32 sony laptop and the battery would not work in my laptop. I had two different batteries and neither one would charge. My laptop did not recognize that the battery was installed most of time either. My laptop works fine as my oem battery charges in both bays without a problem. The battery didn't fit well either.

The battery which I received was not a Sony Battery. It was manufactured by a third party and did not fit well in the battery slot. The battery was not able to be charged in my laptop. The battery was returned to the seller.
