I don't write reviews often, but I'm compelled to sing the praise of the Sony MDR-EX85LP because it's such a great in-ear headphone. I've had over a dozen in-ear headphones, and this one's the best. I've tried $150 Etymotics, Bose, and Shures, and this one beats them all. How? 1. Great fit in the ear. Most of the others the earbud slips out with running or any other bouncing motion. Not this one. 2. Great sound. Solid, deep base, good mids, and good highs. Very balanced sound. 3. Great price, I'm on my 3rd pair now because I've lost so many. Dropping down $40 isn't a big deal, but replacing a $150 Etymotics, for instance, might not happen because of the price. If you're coming from the standard issue crappy iPod earphones, you'll especially be wowed.

I found them uncomfortable yet they were good for noise canceling. I used them to run once and they stayed in place. I didn't feel the sound quality was worth the price. i have small ears the med buds were too big and uncomfortable while the smallest buds got stuck inside my ear after I pulled the headphones out. I wouldn't recommend these but they do the job until i can find better ones. This particular model was not compatible with my iphone but did fit with my ipod and shuffle.

These in-ears have the best sound quality and are really comfortable. I use them for atleast 5-6 hrs a day. After trying them them out for almost 6 months I decided to write a review and give it 4 stars. One star less for this reason: I am not sure if every one else has this problem, but the left bud is attached to a shorter cord. So, whenever I wear a shirt the cord gets snagged in my collar. Its very annoying. Other than this no complaints.
