I've used many types of KVM extenders, yet this unit works as well as those costing twice as much with two extra pluses. The housing is metal and it has built in supression that requires a user supplied ground connection. Both are attractive because I use these in high power radio frequency environments where interference and lightning are regular issues. I have lost one set to lightning at one of my worse locations despite a good master ground. What I can say is that it did not blow up as badly as other units. From there it works well and responds well with both local and remote KVM hardware attached. I can recommend it. 4-stars because despite the grounding system, lightning can get it.
