Just got these to replace some $20 Jbuds. I'm very disappointed. The sound is no better, in fact a bit worse, than the J-Buds. I'm giving the Bose to my son and ordering another set of Jbuds (and no, I'm not an employee).

These earbuds where for a gift and work great.... At half price and still brand new in the box, can't beat Amazom.com..........

Great sound, even straight from the package, no burn in time. The lows are a little muddied, mids are clear and highs are excellent. The reason I am giving this review 2 stars is: they keep fraying. After 5 months, my first pair broke, first by going on and off in the right ear, then completely gone in the right ear, on and off in the left ear, then completely no sound. It was tough to buy them at $100, so I tried going back to my ipod earbuds. I use earbuds on the plane and when I sleep. The second I started using the ipod buds, I took them off and went straight to the bose store to buy my second pair. I made sure to package them in their case and everything. Within 3 months, the exact same thing happened. I emailed several times, no answer. I am now buying the Denon AH451's and Jbuds J2's.
