I have a 50 inch Samsung Plasma weighing 75 pounds mounted with this. Pros: - Mount is solid and sturdy - Nearly infinite adjustments - Fairly simple design - Works well once mounted to the wall Cons: - Extremely heavy - Poor quality hardware - Terrible fitment of parts The design is very straightforward. The mechanically inclined could assemble this without directions. However, due to poor quality hardware and parts, I ran into a couple of big problems. First, after mounting the left and right brackets to the back of the TV, the next step is to slide the top and bottom bars through one bracket, then the center bracket (which is permanently attached to the mount) and then through the final bracket. The top bar slid through all three sections flawlessly. The bottom bar, however, would only go into the final bracket, but not through it. Consequently, the bottom bar is not in it's ideal position as the holes cut in the bracket didn't line up properly. It was far enough through to continue with the project, however, I expect more than "good enough" for as much as I paid for this. Second, when securing the mounting plate to the wall, two of the four lag screws provided literally snapped in half partway into the studs. The grade of screws provided is very poor. Fortunately, I had 3 1/2" deck screws and fender washers which I was able to slip past the broken lag screws that were still stuck in the wall. I was not convinced the two lag screws that did not break would hold the required weight, so I drilled new holes in the mounting plate and used two more deck screws as well as four drywall anchors and screws as well. I am very disappointed at the hoops I had to jump through to install this. I would not recommend it unless it was selling for far less.

We purchased this product from Amazon. First of all Amazon's price was the best throughout the internet. We mounted a 42 inch Samsung TV onto it. The pros are: The arm swings out 26 inches having plenty of room to move around even with a 42 inch tv attached. It is secure, easy to install, and nice that you can move it around especially when your tv is not centered to your sitting area. The Cons: With a 42 inch TV the weight seems to lean to the left slightly. Our installer said it was really because the TV we mounted the holes are close together so there is no play on the bracket. This is the only fault we could find witht he mount. I would still recommend to buy this product the good outweighs the slight leaning problem.

First off, great price. I bought mine from Amazon for $282. A local audio/video specialty store wanted to charge me nearly $500 for the exact same item. That same store told me they could have two guys come out at $60 per hour EACH and install it for me in about an hour-and-a-half. Since the guy had kind of a snotty attitude, I just asked for the item number and found it here on Amazon. I am by no means handy with tools or projects like this, and I anticipated trying to find someone to install this thing for me. But after looking it over and reading the instructions, it really is pretty simple. After a little bit of assembling of the mount itself, you just need to drill 4 holes into the wall studs for the lag screws. (Note: after reading some reviews about the lag screws that come with the mount snapping, I went to a hardware store and bought me 4 heavy duty ones. I even spray painted the screws black to match the rest of the assembly). Just make sure you do a lot of pre-measuring to get this thing exactly where you want it. It won't hurt to read ahead in the instructions either. My installation went off without a hitch. As many other reviews have mentioned, you are NOT going to want to try to hang the TV by yourself. I actually had two helpers. My son and I lifted the TV and my wife guided the arm assembly onto the wall plate. (The top of my wall plate is 74" above the floor). My 50-inch Panasonic Plasma must be fully extended from the wall and turned at nearly a 90-degree angle due to the room setup where the TV is located. This mount handles the load easily. What would have cost me between $600-700 had I bought from the dealer I spoke with originally ended up costing me just the $282 for the purchase from Amazon. It's a great product that does exactly what it says it will. I've called Sanus a few times with questions and they have also been very friendly and helpful. Five stars!!
