I believe a Plasma is better because you can see the images from any angle. However, stay away from the Samsung line because, after less than 30 days, you will get an image burn regardeless if you play games or if you watch regular TV. I speak from experience. I bought Samsung PN50B450 50-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV on January 28, 2009 because it had the best picture in the Best Buy store for the price. Well, after 20 days, the screen had started to get the burn-in. I called Best Buy, they came out and said they couldn't do anything because Samsung won't authorize a replacement. I called Samsung. Their tech came out and said the same thing. It's written in the warranty that screen Burn-In is not covered. I understand that, but after 20 days? How about repairing the TV? The Samsung tech said I'm stuck with the TV and this problem.
