The Power Stage 2 subwoofer utilizes dual voice coils for total wiring flexibility, and are optimized for mid-sized ported enclosures. Dual mirror image symmetrical spiders with integrated support ring ensures massive excursion and improves mechanical stability. Rockford?s high excursion thermoplastic rubber surround uses a "tall/skinny" profile for maximum cone travel without reducing piston area. Holding it all together is a cast basket with unique 2-piece "basket within a bucket" design. This massive aluminum alloy frame adds rigidity to eliminate acoustic resonances and is vented to help cool the voice coil assembly. Inside, there's a gigantic triple-stacked magnet assembly for insane power handling. Proprietary edge-wound flat voice coil wire is made from copper-clad aluminum for maximum motor strength and reduced overall piston weight. The reversible aluminum concealing ring covers up mounting screws and provides a finished look for any installation. Dual 2-ohm voice coils can be wired in parallel for a single 1-ohm load or in series for a single 4-ohm load.
