This is a pretty loud amplifier. I am using it for 2 12 inch 500 watt RMS 1000 watt peak subwoofers. For that job, this succeeds, but for using it with treble and regular listening, this amp fails, because there is a lot of fuzzy noises coming from this amp because of all the power running through it. at loud volumes, it sounds good, and has a very loud fan after volume 20 of 64. overall, I would buy this amp again, but for only subwoofers like I am using it for. These subs are really kickin' and sound very nice.

I bought this Pyle pre-amp along with a pair of Amazon's Pyle # PADH-152 15" speakers as a gift for my teenage son. He likes the looks of the amp and especially loves the size and looks of the speakers. Unfortunately the amp makes a constant popping noise through the speakers that is very noticeable at low volumes and is there using any input. The clear front display panel came with some debris behind it and the unit would have to be disassembled to clean it. We hooked up my son's old receiver, just 100 watts, to the new speakers and it sounded better and almost as loud as this unit. The FM reception is poor even for local stations. Delivered price for this unit was under $108.00 so I was not expecting much and if it was not for the popping noise I would have given it an additional star. If you are serious about your audio keep looking but if you are looking for a cheap but impressive looking unit for your kid you may what to give it a try.
