I bought this after buying a similar Belkin model and wish I had just paid a few bucks more for the Belkin. While this unit works just fine, the lack of a center screw to secure it to the outlet is noticable. It's just too loose in the wall. The Belkin is a few bucks more but has the screw and all 6 outlets move independantly and not in a block of 3. I'd recommend the Belkin over this one.

I had been using just a basic 3-way extension in my bedroom, but added a fairly expensive item (the very cool Squeezebox Boom) and wanted to be sure I had a good surge protector on it. A couple items I was plugging in had fairly large adapters, but I prefer an in-socket extension versus having more cords on the floor collecting pet hair. This looked a bit more heavy-duty than the Globe Six-Outlet Swivel Surge Tap that I purchased previously and indeed I did find that it stays flush to the wall a little better. The swivels help greatly to plug in multiple devices with large adapters, and the lights are a nice feature to have some indication that it is working. I've not yet had any surges to know how well it protects my electronics, but otherwise, very satisfied with it.

I have not encountered any problems yet meaning surges or overloads but I know from the reviews that it will do its job and protect any devices connected to it.
