I bought this unit for podcasting. However, when I discovered that it can be used as a USB mic, I decided to set it up for Skype calls as well. The sound quality is fantastic. The only criticism I have is that you have to reconnect it - via it menu - each time you start your computer. It only takes two button pushes, but sometimes I forget, and wonder why Skype isn't hearing me.

As for "bang for the buck", this is probably the best item I have ever purchased. It is user friendly, versatile, does everything it claims to do, and is totally affordable. A great tool. Every musician should have one.

This is a pretty good thing. Put a big chip in it for best utility. No speakers. gotta use earphones. Tiny letters on the visual display panel, not so good for 60 y.o. + people like me. Put on your glasses. Nice to record the church choir rehearsals. Then just download the file to your computer and email it out to members who can practice with it at home.
