Im totally satisfied with this purchase, picture quality is very crisp, a little pricey but worth every penny.

works great, easy to use. sometimes hard to see screen in daylight conditions. I use it in my semi truck and my kids watch it when I drive. Never skips. Battery life is good.

The picture quality is amazing for a LCD screen of this size. I would rate is as top of the line.

The quality of music played back from Archos players is terrible. This should not be advertised as an mp3 player, it's that bad at music playback.

bought and had to return. Volume was miserably low during video play back, could barley hear on airplanes. Archos service was terrible, plugins cost too much, video playback battery life too short, internet browser too clunky and ridiculously slow. Amazon return service was great, still fighting Archos for refund on plugins.

The list of what this video player can do has been well stated in previous reviews. So let's get to the good stuff! First and foremost, I received my 705 WiFi very quickly. That said, I opened the box to find everything neatly boxed and easy to find. This baby does everything and for the most part comes with everything you need to start experiencing your music and videos in a whole new light. Connecting to my home network was a breeze! DETAILED instructions are provided within the unit. They are easy to read and understand. While I was playing around with the device, my wife configured Windows Media Player. She does not dabble nor care much for electronics. However over the years I have ripped alot of her music into WMP and felt she should help setup this new toy. Within minutes we were listening to our favorite tunes, wireless. Granted the OPERA web browser isn't all that fast but it is adequate and better than my cell phone browser! I would recommend any and all of the plugins that interest you. I have the web browser, video enhanser, Dishnetwork plugin (free) and the Widget plugin. All were easy to download and install. Oh yeah, being able to record movies from my satelite dish...PRICELESS.

This DVD player not only looks extremly good - it is actully white from the outside - it has also a very sharp picture. The screen is also not very reflective so that the picture is still good even with sun coming in from the side of the car. Other players use glossy screen's, which are horrible with any sunlight. Ideal to use in a car for your kids. Sure there are portable DVD player with even better resolution but they are missing the car mount. The head rest coming with the player is easy to use and doesn't wobble too much. Very impressed so far. Battery life could be better and due to the shiny surfaces of all finishes you see finger prints quickly but in the overall picture that is not really worth a complain. All charging cables for car and standard outlet come with the player. It even plays pictures and mp3's from an SD card. The tiny downside is that you can't choose the source. Everytime you have an SD card in the slot the DVD can't be played. Control buttons are directly below the screen and a remote control comes with it as well. The maximum volume is very high and the sound is very clear. My rating is 4.5 to 5 overall.

This seems to be a decent player. However, the mount on ours just broke a few days ago. Also, just recently, prior to the mount breaking, the screen would flip down every so often and the disc cover part would eject. Now I need to find a new mount and perhaps tape the screen down so that it won't keep flipping down.

Hello, I have purchased Philips PET 1030 player. I am very satisfied with it, however there is one problem. I can't get correct image with movies that have aspect ratio more than 16:9. Image is perfect when aspect ratio is 16:9, but when it's 2,35:1 the image gets stretched (people are slimmer). Can't find the solution for that. Has anyone find a solution for that? Thank you, David

Months after I purchased the player I recieved the dreaded HO3 error code. I fixed it per Panasonics specifications but got it again after the next play. However, even with the directions I have it won't work at all now. Upon researching this error code; I found that this error is so common - this model should have been recalled - save your money!

This DVD player was well used in the ~13 months since purchase until suddenly "Error H03" was displayed on the screen and the player could not read the DVD. After looking into having it repaired, (cost being from $95-160, depending on what was found) we decided to purchase the LS80 ($155) as we had this model before and had no problems for over two years until our toddler son dropped it and it subsequently stopped working. After reading the reviews, I am not alone in having the "Error H03" message and a nonfunctional player after the 12 mo. warranty has expired. Note, there were similar reviews re: the LS82 ($180) model, which we considered as that battery life is 12 hours. Both the LS80 and LS91 have 6 hr battery lives.

We have owned this dvd player for 13 months. We just got the H03 error; right on time according to other reviews. I would recommend looking at other players first or expect to repair this one after about a year.
