      I loved the look - its light and small and cool. I bought it for my daughter in the car. However we only used it maybe a dozen times - within 3 weeks it broke. And of course this is considered a disposable item. No one can fix them or take them back - unless you bought the insurance. It turns on - but the dvd no longer spins. I would not recommend a product that breaks within one month! Clearly, anything marketed for children should be more robust!

      The battery pack does not stay attached well to the back of the unit and as the other reviewer says, it sticks out a few inches. This makes it a little harder to work with on an economy seat tray table on an airplane. Worse, though, is the very limited time the battery offers. I wouldn't even bother packing it for any flight longer than 2 hours. The design is nice, with the control buttons in the shape of Mickey,. The ability to personalize the case with your own photo or drawing inserted under the top plastic cover is a nice touch, too. It would probably be fine for home use, a hotel, or once you've arrived at your destination where you can plug it in. But if you're looking for a travel player, move along: there's nothing to see here.

      We've had this dvd player since Nov last year - thank you grandma! We've taken it on airplanes, and many in and out of country trips (dual charge on 11ov or 22ov). We attach it to regular tvs in the hotel room - since most don't have dvd players because they have on demand channels instead -and presto my toddler has her favorite shows/movies. Great clear picture on the player's screen or on the tv. We've had it on a few times during long car trips (me at the back holding the player) and the battery lasts an hour or so, if you don't have a car charger. So we come to our only gripe = it's not a tablet type which you hang at the back of the car's front seat. We haven't been using it in the car for that reason. I've recently come across the case logic dvd bag that will let me use the dvd in this way but haven't purchased it yet. Will probably get around to buying it when the next long road trip gets closer. For a Disney toy-ish looking dvd player this is actually a durable, well-built product that has withstood my toddlers gentle mishandling.
