Sony CFD-S350 CD/Cassette Portable Boombox (Silver)

   We ordered this boombox for our granddaughter's 9th birthday. It was important that it would be simple to operate, not too large and be able to play both CDs and tapes as many of the young teens recorded books at her library are only available on tape. It is too bad the design did not include an audio input jack for input from an mp3 or iPod but otherwise she is very happy with the player.

   I got this as a gift 2 1/2 years ago, and it still works great - no CD problems at all. Another (different brand) I bought started to skip within 6 months of purchase, and another Sony (different model) started to skip the same damn day I bought it! I sympathize with the other reviewers who had problems... I'm still looking for a second boom box, and I'm hesitant to buy this one again...even though I've had no problems with the first one.

   I received this product and it last for one day. The unfortunate part was the return policy which I take responsibility in not fully reading, said that I would have to return it to the Sony Company. I incurred the shipping fee and much phone time with Sony. In 2-3 weeks time I received a replacement and it worked. In the future I will not buy any products e.g, Sony who have this policy or any store that sells their product and will not help you in that you purchased it from that specific store I was not very pleased at all I have bought many products from Amazon and have loved my shopping, returning experience, that is up until this nightmare return saga. People beware of buying Sony products you have to return and incur the extra expense.
