I bought these to use with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007, and they worked beautifully. My only complaint is that the microphone has limited range of motion and cannot be moved to the other side; if you don't like the mic on your left and it drives you nuts, pass on this headset. Good sound quality, both in and out, and comfortable to wear. The price (on Amazon, at least) can't be beat.

I use a headset and a microphone when I record video tutorials or work in an audio production studio. A headset lets me hear myself as I record my voice. This Plantronics headset/microphone combo does not let you monitor your microphone. From my perspective that makes it useless. I contacted Plantronics tech support and they say that cutting out playback from the mic is a characteristic of all USB headset/mic combos. That may very well be true. In any event, if you want to use a headset/mic combo as you would in a recording studio environment, do not buy the Plantronics 750 DSP.

The headset works fine, but it's nowhere near the quality of my Bose 1st generation noise canceling and Sony 7506 studio monitor headsets. I didn't expect them to be. On the other hand, they are no where near the cost of those headsets and the 750 seems to be a decent value. My main complaint would be that they are not that comfortable, if you try to use them for more than 30 minutes. I'm using them with skype and everyone I've talked to says I sound fine, so the mic is up to the job.
