This holster has done very well in the month or so I've had it. One-hand removal is not difficult, and it sits unobtrusively on my belt (more so than the last holster I had). The clip is plenty tight/secure on the belt I use. Its simple design is appealing as well. The only minor complaint I have to this point: the headphone jack is best accessed when the phone is facing screen outward---yet that would risk scratches or cracks to the screen, so I leave the phone facing inward. On the other hand, if you are sitting down while using it as an iPod, you could easily turn the phone outward with little risk of damage, so this isn't a big problem for me. Some reviewers commented that the stitching holding the clip on fell apart after a couple months or less. I just don't see that happening for me. Unless you're rough on your things, or perhaps carry extra weight around the middle, I think you'll find this design to be fairly sturdy. I expect, based on the minimal signs of wear over the month plus I've had it, that it will last at least a year and perhaps a couple. Overall, very solid product.

There are so many better options out there than this case. First, notice that the corners are completely open, which means that if this accidentally unhooks from your pants (which is shockingly easy) you had better hold your breath that your phone doesn't fall on the corner. Mine did, and it has a rather large dent, which voided my warranty. Further, I found that the Velcro closure came open frequently, often allowing my phone to flip out and fall, completely unprotected, to the ground. I was highly disappointed in the performance of this product and credit it with the failure of my touchscreen, which broke after the phone flipped out from the case. $199 dollars lighter and a new 3G later, I have learned my lesson. Go for the Griffen Elan Form or something similar that hugs and protects the phone tightly. Add on a screen protector and you are in much better hands. Don't waste your money on this case unless you want to be back at the Apple store with a voided warranty.

The belt clip ripped within days with only light use. The velcro is noisy and the open ends are of concern.
