My other TV (Sony 32" XBR) is mounted on a Peerless mount as well. After the great experience the first time, I was hoping for the same with this mount. At no time during the installation did I think this mount would ever buckle under the weight of my new Sony 40" LCD (Bravia KDL-40V4100). This mount is heavy duty. Mounting options are almost endless. With swivel, pivot and tilt features all you need is a stud and you are set. It comes with MANY bolts and screws for all kind of TV's (including Sony) and the "nickel" shiny finish looks really good. I looked for a long time to find an artculaing arm mount that could accommodate an LCD with this bolt pattern (300mm X 300mm or 12" X 12"). This is one of the few that was under 500 bucks. There are 2 reasons I did not give it 5 stars. 1.When you are lifting the TV up to the wall to mount it, it will not hang there by itself. You have to hold the TV up in the air while someone carefully threads the bolts to secure it. My last mount would "clip on", you could let go, and then put the safety bolts in easily. 2.The assemby instructions are weak. Every part I used was labled incorrectly OR not at all. Very vague.

When I first received this product, my initial reaction was - "Wow, this thing is hardcore." It's a substantial, strong, and gorgeous looking mount that will easily accommodate any screen up to 50 inches. I was also impressed with how many different screws, washers & spacers Peerless includes, guaranteeing a fit on practically any screen. It's also VESA compatible, so if your screen has a VESA mounting pattern -- it will fit perfectly without using the universal adapter that's included. I'm really glad that I purchased this mount over some of the cheaper versions. The quality and overall substance of this mount really make it a perfect companion to a giant TV.
