We use the Messenger system in our church for a variety of situations and it handles them all remarkably well. For example, it serves as a portable PA system when we need to address gatherings indoors or out. As another example, we use it as the sound system for VHS/CD/DVD players at medium to large gatherings. Wherever we take it, it is quick to set up, it packs a multitude of audio input options, has plenty of power to provide quality sound to gatherings (will easily work for sizes up to 100 people), and is durable. If you need one PA system for versatility, this may just be what your looking for. It is certainly indispensible for our church.

I have had the Peavey Escort for about a year and have been very happy with it. However, I wanted something smaller and quicker to set up and I found the Messenger. This unit is very compact and has high performance for the price. The great thing is that the controls are very similar to the Excort so it is easy to train others to use it. I am very happy with it and the only area of concern is the RCA inputs which are set up for sing along disks, but in fact it is just one channel for left audio and the other channel for right audio. Once you figure it out it is easy, but a little confusing at first.

The Peavey 100-Watt Messenger is a fine and reliable compact sound system. It performs very well in a moderate size room. I use it mostly for leading music with plugged guitar and mic. This is what it's made for and it delivers. I would highly recommend it.
