Great product. I like how it shows me the voltage at the outlet plug - which can vary between 117 -122 over the day. I have a Sony 60" SXRD, a Marantz Pre AV8003 and a Marantz amp MM8003, plus a Playstation 3 as well as a Directv DVR all plugged into this unit. What is also nice is the usb power outlet in the front which I use to power the IR2BT I use with the PS3 tp allow the PS3 to work with my Harmony 880 remote

provides plenty of power outlets. I walked across the carpet picking up static electricity and touched the unit. A small static arc happened and it detected it and shut everything down. I can't say that the audio has improved highs and all that vodo everyone else talks about. This company also manufactures equipment with the Furman name which has been protecting pro audio for years. Great unit for the price.

The Panamax M5100-PM power conditioner is a very good product for a small to mid size home theater system. I picked the 5100-PM over the 5300-PM on price alone. One weekend the 5100-PM was at about $250.00 versus the 5300-PM at around $499.00. I have since found the 5300-PM on sale at around $300.00 from authorized re-sellers. The main difference is the 5300-PM has 2 more isloated banks. So, if you have a more complex set-up the 5300-PM is the way to go. I found this unit straight forward in terms of set-up and performance. The unit is very strudy, well built and seems to work just fine. Of course you only know the unit is working after a power failure and surge event. I decided to purchase the 5100-PM and the MIW-XT extension system after a power interrupt event in my area. We just purchased a new 50" Plamsa and I nearly freaked out at the thought of a power intrrupt taking my new $2k plus plasma out. The MIW-XT (I rated the Panamax MIW-XT seperately) helps extend the 5100-PM capabilities to my remotely located plasma and sub-woofer. Some other reviewer report a difference in picture and sound quality however, I have not....yet. It provides peace of mind knowing my whole system is protected if a power surge event happens. All in all I very satisfied with the order (From OneCall on Amazon), the delivery, the set-up and performance. I hope that I never have to find out about the protection.
