I found the 5000 model on a store but it was too expensive and after extensive research online I found this and it was at a good price, just what I wanted. It is precise and smooth, looks clean and sleek. Microsoft can do something good every now and then!

Seriously, please don't buy this mouse. Unless mine was defective or something, I've never operated (And I feel nauseous that I even paid money to operate this one) a worse mouse in my entire life. Let's start with the scroll wheel: It's free flowing, so like, it has practically no friction at all. You'll use it, then go about your business, and five minutes later it'll just move on it's own to a "more comfortable" position for itself. Sure most people probably won't mind but it's absolutely frustrating as heck for a power user or artist. Number of buttons: This mouse boasts many many buttons! It's a darn shame most of them are unusable. Middle click is non existent due to how hard you need to press down -- you are more likely to scroll up or down before you end up middle clicking. Then, you can push the scroll wheel to the left or right (Possibly useful for internet browsing back/forwards navigation) IF YOU WERE ABLE TO DO IT WITHOUT SCROLLING. The only useful buttons are on the side, which if you install the bloatware crap packaged with it are virtually useless, then you need to go through the trouble of remapping the buttons to something more useful (Like middle click...). THIS IS ESSENTIALLY A TWO BUTTON MOUSE Optical accuracy: Nonexistent at times. As I'm writing this, the mouse pointer is seizing to the left slowly even though I'm definitely not touching the mouse. Often during general use (once every ten minutes) I'll go, for example, to close an application, and the pointer will jump all over the screen for a couple seconds instead of responding to the actual movements of my hand. Again, probably not a deal breaker for most people, but when I pay for something I expect it to work. Conclusion: If I bought this in a store I would have returned it the same day. If I received this item as a gift I would have considered it an insult. And I can't at all believe that a mouse made in 2008 (Or whenever) is less functional then first generation mice from the 1990's. This is an absolutely horrible device, and the only reason why I still use it is because I gave my old mouse away to my brother, and don't have the heart to pawn this THING off on him.

This is the best Optical mouse I've ever seen. Good resolution with the comfort grip.
