I've been using the Targus Chill Hub for several months and it really works. I would suggest periodically vacuuming the fan openings or blowing the dust with a compressed air container, especially if you're in a very dusty environment. Be aware that if you have a laptop where the DVD/CD drive ejects towards the front, you'll have to remove the laptop whenever you want to eject a DVD or CD because of the front mount. That wasn't a major consideration for me, but it may be for you. The four-port USB 2.0 hub is very handy. That, along with the Notebook Stand, allows you to connect to the hub and place the device in the tray under the laptop. I have several WD Passport drives and it keeps them organized and out of the way. The USB hub is incorporated in the removable Chill Hub fan unit, which can be removed from the Notebook Stand. Overall, it's a very sturdy unit and works excellently and the price is right.
