A great bang-for-the-buck porro prism binocular, the Nikon 8x40 Action VII Binocular has a knobby rubber armored housing and high-refraction prisms with a wide field of view. Its included tripod adapter threading allows easy extended glassing from a stationary position (requires optional tripod adapter #7650). It is a pretty big binocular but the view is truly exceptional, especially considering the price. Nikon's entire binocular line is backed by the No-Fault lifetime warranty. Regardless of what happens to your binoculars, even of your own negligence, Nikon will repair or replace your binocular (at their option) for just $10, plus return shipping costs.
