Pros & Cons :rumor is, if you talk to a knowledgeable rep at netgear you can get a free replacement, but apparently even getting someone who will let you pay for a replacement is rare.

Pros & Cons :all i would say is that when you remove the rear cover that holds the fan unit, make sure the fan plug is firmly seated when you put the casing back together.

Pros & Cons :only negative i could say is this is a fairly costly power supply, when compared to off the shelf ones you may find for a desktop system.

Pros & Cons :i will mention that by doing this, it appears that you must break a seal which voids the warranty, but since mine was already out of warranty, it didn't matter for me.

Pros & Cons :note, the power supply in the readynas is one of the weakest links due to small size, heat, dust, difficulty with air flow, etc.
