This handy powerstrip makes up for the LACK of power plugs in many overseas hotels. If you have cameras, Laptops, phones or other to charge - this can handle 4 at once, and is compact enough to travel with. Remember if overseas, you'll want to use the all in one travel plug adapter. Just plug in the adapter, then this product - and you are good to go. (Note: if overseas make sure your electronics have a power adapter with a range of 100- 240 volts. Most computers etc. have this, but if in doubt ASK before plugging in.)

I just got back from a 1 year round the world trip and this power cord was invaluable. It allowed me to charge my iPod, camera, mobile phone and use my laptop all from a single outlet and with a single converter. I traveled in nine countries in Asia, requiring several different adapters (I fried a couple along the way so bring a spare), and this power strip saved me on more than one occasion when my guesthouse/hostel/hotel only provided one outlet! Also, adapters are bulky, especially when backpacking you don't want to carry three of them! No need with this strip you only need one, and all your US appliances can plug into here. It's also really small and light, and after a year carrying my pack I got really picky choosing what was worth carrying - this power strip was a no brainer to bring along. I just completely love it.

Keep in mind what this device is not: * surge protector * extension cord * featherweight * inexpensive It is however compact, and extremely convient to use. It's easy to toss into a bag (not minding the weight--it's heavier than it looks) and take with me to the airport, coffee shop, or conference, places where power outlets are at a premium. I've received many compliments for being the only one "prepared." Five stars if I didn't feel as if this was much more expensive than it should be (as is typical with other Monster products).
