Ok,I have used this cable my self and just bought another cable from a seller here on amazon for 23.00 usd.at 23 dollars people would be fools not to buy.look under used cables they are actually new.but amazon will not allow them to sell as new at there pricing. And as far a other saying hdmi is hdmi are fools.there are 4 revisions to hdmi cables so far.hdmi, hdmi 1.3a,hdmi 1.3b,hmdi 1.3c.If you are like me a home theater audiophile.you will need this cable.I have a denon dts-hd,dolby hd reciever.the cheap cables would allow sound encoded in hd but reciever sounded muted.wasnt very loud.then i put this cable in a wow what a difference.I tryed 3 other hdmi cables i had laying around same results.think about it..you spent 300-1000 for a good receiver,200-500 for a good blu-ray player but you wont spend 23 dollars to buy a hdmi monster cable? It is a monster cable, hence it will work perfectly with nice tight connections and extremely well built design.what others dont tell you is that the cheap cables can come apart and connections may be loose.SO WHY WOULD YOU TAKE THE CHANCE??don't be fooled buy other reviewers a cheap cable is not as good I KNOW THIS FROM TRIAL AND ERRROR.however do not pay 100+ dollars for this cable that is just foolish.then yes you are getting ripped off.ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE TO OTHERS OUT THERE.IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG TV AND WHEN YOU TURN IT ON THEN POWER UP YOUR DVR OR DVD BLU-RAY PLAYER AND SOUND DOESNT WORK UNTIL YOU RESTART YOUR TV IT IS NOT YOUR TV IT IS YOUR HDMI CABLE.LOOSE FITTING HDMI CABLE TO BACK OF TV CAUSES THIS.BUY THIS CABLE AND PROBLEM IS RESOLVED.

If the picture and sound are there for digital devices, then it's working. A blind-testing proved this: [...]

If you've read any of the lower rated reviews for this product, I'm sure you'll find similar posts as mine, but I felt compelled to chime in because my cousin was recently "convinced" by his local Best Buy sales associate("best buy"...there's an oxymoron) to purchase some Monster cables for his new TV and PS3. Sadly, I didn't find out until after the fact and had to spend a considerable amount of time trying to convince him of the fact that he was scammed and ripped off. I seriously don't know how these guys sleep at night knowing that there cover has and continues to be blown and yet they still persist in pushing their "snake oil" to people. I guess there conscience is preserved so long as people hand over their money willingly. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A HIGHER QUALITY HDMI CABLE...ONLY HIGHER PRICES. There is incredibly compelling evidence that proves Monster and any other over priced HDMI Cable brand is just that...overpriced. HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)cables involve a digital signal that is either there or not. There is no degredation in the signal strength. Therefore, as long as it is a true HDMI cable, it will work just as good as the next. With Monster, what you get are some REALLY good looking cables...so as long as you're willing to shell out the 900% - 1000% cost difference for aesthetics than so be it. Anyway, don't take my word on this alone. Just google "HDMI Myths". Check out what reputable organizations like CNET, Popular Mechanics and PC World have to say about the issue. I was planning on providing links but in reviewing the guidelines, I discovered that I'm not allowed to do that. Amazon should really offer something lower than a 1 star rating...perhpas some red flag alert that indicates an item not even worth rating because of situations like this. Either that or do multiple categories for ratings of a single product (i.e. cost, performance, quality, etc). Under this rating system I'd easily give Monster 5 stars for quality and performance but a negative star for cost. Equally, I'd give 5 stars across the board for the 2 meter HDMI cable I convinced my cousin to buy at Home Depot for $15 after finally returning his Monster cables(wanted to provide a direct link to the product but can't...it's available on their website though). Please don't let these guys continue to take people's money. Get educated and educate others.
