1. Battery life - poor to fair 2. connectivity - drops the wireless connection without warning enough to be irritating and it can takes a witch doctor's gesticulations to regain it. 3. cursor precision - usually good but it will jump clear across the screen at times. Granted it is hard to tell what the problem here is; is it an error in the mouse tracking? a bug in the communication messaging to the laptop? Who knows? 4. ergonomics - it is tiny in my medium/large paws. I have to hold it with my fingertips, no resting your palm on the mouse. Great for portability but a nuisance to actually use and it makes my arm/wrist sore. As others have noted, the scroll wheel has too much friction in the rotation mechanism which one can overcome by laying ones finger flat on the wheel to get the most skin/wheel contact and then gently moving it. There has got to a be a better bluetooth mouse than this one. I also used the Rocketfish bluetooth mouse but it too had problems (why I exchanged that one for this one). I think I might be going back for another exchange!

Microsoft does make very good peripherals, and this mouse is no exception. It functions perfectly on both the Mac and Windows systems that I am using. I was using the first I bought for over a year and it is so good, I bought a second for another system. Some general observations: 1) The mouse is very responsive on almost every surface - a plus when you are traveling and can't be sure what surface you will be working on. 2) It is solid, has good weight, but it isn't too heavy for the mobile crowd. I carry it in my bag every day with no problem. 3) The batteries seem to last forever. I use this mouse 8-10 hours a day, rarely turn it off and it's still 3 months before the batteries need to be replaced. Use alkaline and forget rechargeables because I have not had the same results. 4) It's Bluetooth so no dongle required (assuming you have Bluetooth already). I find this much more reliable than radio models. I can't recall a single instance where the mouse has dropped the connection. 5) This is the best value you will find in a Bluetooth mouse. Excellent quality and very reasonably priced. 6) Don't worry about the missing device specific driver mentioned by another reviewer, it really doesn't matter as it works great out of the box.

Great mouse. Very responsive and precise... I beleive I may have misinterpreted its size, so I stress that all interested in this mouse look at the pictures closely for size comparison... It's not TOO small, but it is 'notebook' size... Not a flaw, its exactly as advertised. Just noteworthy. Good mouse, comes with carry case, convenient.
