I had some problems trying to burn these disks, and I burned several coasters trying different things on my Mac Pro. If you slow down the burn speed, I'm using 1x now, they burn without errors.

I'd been dreaming about having double layer DVD's to burn for quite some time, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. I put a 6.7 GB file on one and then still had another gig to add! I'm going to use some of the rest of this spindle to backup my essential files, and it'll be great to be able to put so many files on each disc. Definitely worth the money, although I sure hope they start going down in price in the future!

I'm pretty confused by the bad the reviews. I burned 17 of the 25 so far with no problems. All were burned at 8x. I verified each disc on a separate machine and there are no errors. For the price, these are clearly a great buy. For those that had problems, I wonder if it's the discs that have problems or the equipment? It's impossible for me to say, but I do notice either hot (4 or 5 stars) or cold (1 star) reviews. These leads me to believe it's not the discs, but whether the burners and the discs like each other. Given that, my recommendation is to buy these and try them out. If you have a lot of failures return it and buy another brand (and pay more). Otherwise, keep them and be happy you get a bargain.
