I have used Logitech products for years. They never disappoint on quality of their products. The LX8 Laser mouse is no exception. It performs just as they claim. It is great home computer mouse, a little too big for traveling with. It is comfortable for extended use and the laser is very precise on any surface. I would recommend this mouse to anyone looking for a quality cordless mouse.

I love my logitech portable notebook mouse, so when it was time to replace my Microsoft desktop mouse i thought i'd give this guy a try. Unfortunately it is way too thin and light in my hand. But the fatal flaw is the side buttons that get bump-clicked VERY frequently. I returned it and went with the Microsoft Explorer Bluetrack. It's larger in size and weight and the buttons aren't nearly as easily bump-clicked.

I got the LX8 about a year ago after having unsuccessfully tried both a standard mouse and an optical mouse. Both previous mice seemed to serve as magnets to the hair of my 2 cats (one of whom has long down-like fur that invades absolutely everything) and, even with constant cleaning, both mice ceased to work after a short while. With the LX8, I think I cleaned out the 1mm-diameter hole for the laser sensor once - and that was because I looked at it out of curiosity to see how it was doing. I have not had a single problem with this mouse in the year I've had it! Thank Goodness! No more pulling out the little ball from the standard mouse & trying to get out the cat-hair and no more twice-daily sessions of pulling hair from around an optical sensor. The mouse has been wonderful. The side buttons are easy to use if I want and easy not to use if I don't want to. The mouse fits in my hand perfectly and glides quite easily on my desk. The LX8 has a perfect degree of sensitivity - responsive but not too much so. The wireless feature is a sanity-saver as well. My desk has about 8 inches of paper & office supplies on it right now (has been up to 10") which are between the wireless sensor & the mouse. The mouse is also on my keyboard tray under the desk and the sensor is on top of the desk behind my monitor. The sensor receives the mouse's signal wonderfully! Bottom line - I would recommend this mouse to anyone! It is so freeing not to have to clean out my mouse everyday and to have complete responsiveness whenever I want to use it. Way to go, Logitech!
