You configure this device by loading software onto a PC and then connecting the device to it via a supplied Ethernet cable. The configuration process is clearly documented in both the printed instructions and the step-by-step screens presented by the program. Except for one thing. Early in the configuration process you are asked to enter a password. It's at the point in the hard copy instructions where you are supposed to set the administration password for the device. However, what Linksys is looking for is the initial default password for the device. What they fail to mention... anywhere... is what it is. I eventually "figured it out" with the help of Google. There were no problems after that and I had my Panasonic Blu-Ray player on line in a matter of minutes. My main purpose for writing this review is to help other perspective buyers. Had it not been for the time spent (and aggravation experienced) as a result of the omission my rating would have been higher. My hope is that enough people will see this, perhaps even before buying the device, and have a sufficiently better experience that their rating will outweigh mine.

Go straight to Rak's instructions and ignore using the installation CD. I would also like to a comment on his instructions. If you are going to use his "tip" on using the adapter to test the Internet connection, update your network connection to Obtain IP Address again. The static IP step prevented me from using my adapter to connect to the Internet. Satelite VOD vs. Cable VOD is different. Satelite downloads the video while cable is accessible immediately. Chose to edit Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
