We have had this phone system now for over a year. One of the reasons that I purchased this was because it uses standard AAA rechargeable batteries which can be purchased just about everywhere. Our old phone system was purchased for the same reason, but it took the AA rechargables. My wife used to have problems talking on the phone if the microwave was going, but with this Dect 6.0 system, that problem is a thing of the past. Another nice feature that we like is being able to block up to 20 phone numbers. If you have someone calling you that you don't want, then you just block the number (requires caller ID) and it just rings twice and they get a busy signal. My wife works thrid shift and you are able to program what time of day you don't want a particular handset to ring. We use this for the phone in the bedroom, that way it doesn't wake her when she is trying to sleep, but the rest of the phones ring normally. We are very well satisfied with this phone set and have no regrets in buying them. It even has talking caller ID, which we don't use, but is a nice feature. You can also retrieve any number from your inputted phone list on any of the handsets without having to program into each one, and you can retrieve and erase messages from the answering machine from any handset. This phone system has so many different features too log to list.

Where have I been? What a great deal and price. This system is awesome! Rings at all the handsets, callers voice at all four handsets, take them to the lanai, the porch, the backyard. They don't take up a lot of space and look good too! Message waiting lite blinks at all four locations. My home is 3,500 Sq.Ft. and made of concrete block (hurricane country)and there is never a signal problem. Clear as a bell...Well done Panasonic!

The Panasonic Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless is a great phone, full of features, excellent clarity, custom ring tones etc. What I particularly like is to be ability to program telephone numbers from any phone in the house and they are accessible from all of the others. (My old Panasonic could not do this). Installation was a drop-in and was done in concert with a conversion of my telephone service to VOIP. (Goodbye Verizon taxes and fees!)
