Was using another presenter with a USB dongle that didn't insert into the base so I always had to put a rubber band around the thing to attach it to the presenter when not in use and hope it wouldn't get lost. The other one (starts with the letter "Targus") also had a very tiny power switch on the side, so the batteries would go dead on me if I forgot to switch it off (too many times). This Kensington is MUCH MUCH better on every level: heavier-duty construction so that it's more comfortable in hand, the USB dongle inserts into the presenter and works as an on/off switch, saving batteries and not getting lost in the bottom of my bag or worse, lost permanently. I use it all the time in my university classes as well as at conferences and it's well worth the extra $ if you don't have time to fool around with lesser quality products and designs that waste batteries. Note: it doesn't have a volume control, but I find I don't need it enough to be a bother.

I've used other pointers with PowerPoint, but this one is most convenient, and works better than most.

Awesome. Works flawlessly on Windows, Mac, zero (yes, zero) setup issues. Very happy. Could be smaller i suppose, but, whatever....
