i dont believe this i bought this cause i didnt have a problem with the other kensington mouses i have bought in the past but this was my nightmare it just doesnt work period i think it might be the solid plastic usb plug cause the logitech usb plug is clear if ur deprate for a wireless mouse do not go any where near this one ever

When I first got this mouse, it was excellent. The more I used it, the more I liked it. It didn't have a "mushy", imprecise feel; it didn't contribute to RSI; it worked on a variety of surfaces (though I experienced a little jitter on very glossy surfaces). I used it with both Debian and FreeBSD, and it worked great (without installing the stupid extra software that comes with all pointing devices these days, naturally). I was quite happy with the purchase. After a few months, though, the mouse wheel stopped working properly. It now wants to jump ahead when I'm scrolling down, and when scrolling up it jumps down even further. The mouse wheel is effectively unusable now, except as a middle-click button. Even for that, it's a little dangerous to use it, because it might decide to scroll down six pages' worth when I click, thus clicking in the wrong place. At first I stopped touching the mouse wheel at all. In time, I stopped using this mouse entirely. I gave it two stars instead of one because of its initially exceptional performance, and because I can't be sure this isn't an isolated incident. In my case, though, the reliability of the mouse wheel is atrocious to say the least. Since I would not have paid $30 for a mouse that didn't have a mouse wheel, this thing is now worse than useless to me.

I saw this mouse at a circuit city that was closing but they didnt' have any more left. I ordered it online and I love it. It has a bigger feel and seems to fit my hand more comfortably. It was simple to set up but for one part and I finally figured that out. My only con is that is does not seem to "slide" well. Tried a new mouse pad and it helped some but still not very slidey. Otherwise its great and I would recommend it to a friend.
