I just received these in the mail and plugged them into my iPhone to test them out. I initially bought them because consumer reports rated them #1 (tied with 2 others) and the description of the sound quality was more in line with what I was looking for (punchy bass with really clean treble). They are not a disappointment at all! I got them for $49 off Amazon, and think they are well worth the price. Short of professional (covers the whole ear) head phones, I haven't heard any better. Definitely haven't heard any ear buds this good. Also, the cord seems to be just long enough to reach my arm band and would probably comfortably reach a waist clip - not too long or too short. Last thing - I've had some headphones that have had different length chords for the left and right ear. I hated them. This is perfect, exact same length for both sides. The last test will be at the gym tonight to see if they slip out when they get sweaty...they feel very secure and not uncomfortable so far. Way to go JVC. (And Amazon for 1/2 off retail pricing!)

Very good sound, very efficient, attractive and include a nice case as well. I've had Ultimate Ears SuperFi 3's, Sennheiser cx300's and now these JVC's. These JVC's sound the best. I tried listening to everything from symphonic music, to solo piano, to alternative rock, and instrumental jazz with them and they sounded balanced and natural with nothing lacking and nothing artificially boosted. I've never heard an ear bud that sounds like a real headset. There is always a certain amount of muddiness and lack of definition. The muddiness in minimal with these guys and they actually sound quite good. I'm very pleased with them.

They are probably the best headphones I have ever purchased. They fit great without falling out. The sound is amazing, good clarity and great bass. Been looking for headphones I could wear for hours when I work out without just slipping or falling out. But with the innovative construction they hold perfectly without causing my ears any pain. Definitely a great buy.
