i have a brand new Toshiba laptop, fresh install of Vista 32-bit - This card will install, and it will seem to work properly for the first few minutes, but during any data transfer (specifically windows backup, or copy/paste of large files) it crashes completely (blue screen of death) - and this is across multiple devices (iOmega eSata drive and a windows2003 server). The device installs but simply will not perform as expected, even after driver updates, etc. And customer service is useless - a canned repsponse from tech support and over 25 mins 'on hold' trying to reach a representative.

I bought an external Hard drive that uses USB 2.0 OR ESATA. I looked into what the heck ESATA is - and HEY it faster! Now I use ESATA cables to back up my desk computer and my laptop. You have to plug in the power cable to a usb port for it to work (to power it, I assume) - but its fast.
