I have read all the reviews of this printer. Wanted a large format printer for 13 x 19 paper. Not sure WHY this size is set for both HP and Epson?? Someone at HP might explain. No negatives for printer cost. Be aware that if you swap or put a new cartridge in this printer--and other HP printers--a Test Page is AUTOMATICALLY printed. Not a big deal--UNLESS you happen to have very expensive 13 x 19 paper IN the printer tray--and the Printer starts to spit out a "Check" page after changing a cartridge. Also, test print uses ink! Also, make sure you have all setting in, e.g., PSE and MS Printer settings, the same to avoid an incorrect print. Excellent large print images, using Adobe RGB(1998) setting.

I have had the HP B8350 for almost a year. It was great out of the box, prints great photos and 11x17 maps within 5 minutes. However, within the past week, this product has a serious problem noted by others. I go to print a photo, make some changes to the print quality and paper, press print, and the light simply blinks. If you check the print queue, it is empty! Now, if I make no changes to the quality it prints at the default economical setting, which for photos is poor, for text, it is fine. Like I said, this just started to happen! The tech support is fine but they are at a loss. I have removed all previous installations of the driver and reinstalled, same thing happens. The driver has not changed since ver 7.0.2, date June 2006, and if this is caused by missing dll files or firmware kaput, the techs in India have not got the info from HP yet, even though I keep asking them. So, right now, this great printer may be made worthless unless there is a solution. The solution is to remove any IE 7.0 or 8.0 web browser. If you have XP SP1 or SP 2, download MS XPS Essential Package ver. 1.0 or better and MS SP3 for XP. Download Net Framework 3.0 before downloading XPS. The problem is not HP driver, as I thought, it is XPS that when loaded updates the Unidrv.dll and Unidrvui.dll files causing the printer to only print in a default (non-adjustable) mode.

I just bought the HP Photosmart Pro B8350 printer because it was about the only medium format (13"x 19") printer that takes advantage of HP's gray inkjet cartridges - all for a reasonable price. I had no trouble setting it up and printing out a nice test sheet. I was amazed at the results! It looked like fine-grain photo paper - even under a loop - and produced a nice neutral color. I highly recommend this printer. I did a lot of research to come to this decision, and I hope you can benefit from my efforts. Enjoy!
