In the past six months I have purchased two different Sony wall mount brackets. One for our 52 inch Sony LCD in the Living room and another one for the 46 inch Sony LCD in the family room. I am very pleased with both as they are very sturdy, fairly easy to install and hold the TV's in place quite solidly. We live in earthquake country so I wanted to make sure that I got a quality wall mounting bracket to support our new TV's. I know they are more expensive then some of the "universal" mounts but when you spend $$$ for a new TV it doesn't make sense to me to scrimp on the hardware that will hold it to the wall. These brackets are heavy duty, good quality mounts that do the job for us.

This made the installation on the wall very easy. I only gave it four stars because it is limited on holes to attach to studs. It does make it difficult to center on the wall. However, attaching it to the TV was a breeze. I have a Sony 46" XBR5. This product was recommended for it. The process only took 15 to 20 minutes. The TV is very sturdy on the wall. If Sony made this a little longer, with more holes, giving the option to attach to two studs, I would have easily given it 5 stars.

Sony may charge a small fortune for this Wall Mount but if you just invested $3500 + for your new LCD TV then it is certainly worth the outlay of cash for this wall mount bracket. Specifically designed for the Sony LCD, the fit was perfect, the installation a breeze (25 minutes start to finish) and the angle adjustment very straight forward. Don't risk a mutt brand if you just bought the XBR LCD...spend the money and do it right!
