These people cannot support or stand behind their product. They may be the worst ever. My sound (main board) went out in month 15 (just 3 months out of warranty). Customer support can't tell you anything other than to check the yellow pages. Well, after 10 local contacts with HD TV repair shops the truth is self-evident. None of these guys would even try to fix the problem. They won't do business with ViewSonic. Oh, and don't even try to get help directly from ViewSonic or their parts departement. They won't help you diagnose the problem and they won't let you return a part, even if you can convince them to sell you one, which is no easy task. They would NOT tell me about the warranty service centers. They won't let me send it there to get repaired EVEN if I want to pay for the repair. So, yeah, it looks great in the showroom, but your out of luck if ANYTHING goes wrong. The problem with no support for universal remote codes is just icing on the cake.

I've had my Viewsonic for almost 2 years. The picture is fine. However the fact that Viewsonic advertises the Remote as "Universal" is a lie. Attempting to contact customer support proved fruitless. It's true it does have "Universal" buttons, but these buttons don't work with any other device. To make matters worse, if you hit the wrong button, the remote will not even work with the TV until you select the TV button. There are no "universal" codes available for this TV either. I have purchased a Logitech remote to replace the Viewsonic remote, but that proved to be a pain to use also. I would NOT RECOMMEND this TV to anyone, and I will never buy another Viewsonic product again.

This is a very good choice for a smaller LCD television. Picture is terrific, both tuners are sensitive and quiet, price is right but, yes, the remote makes only a good door stop. But there is hope! Logitech makes a wonderful remote called the Logitech Harmony 880 remote. Actually they make a number of them that one programs through their website usung your computer and a plug in cord to the remote. You tell the Logitech site just what products you own and they program the remote in real time. It will even control your gas fireplace! (providing it is remote controlled, of course). And yes, they will control any model of ViewSonic television. This remote will reduce a five step selection on the VS remote to just one! Can't speak highly enough about the Harmony remotes. If you think about it, if Viewsonic produces a code that works with their televisions, the code is available and Logitech did the research to find it. So, couple a Harmony remote with this ViewSonic 3760 and you'll be quite pleased.

We did not buy this Sharp Aquos because it is a gaming TV, but because we saw it next to TVs in the same price range at one of the electronics chains, and the Sharp picture blew the others away. Even though we knew we would save almost $200 buying the TV online, we were a little nervous about buying from TigerDirect through Amazon. We took the plunge, though, and the TV arrived in a matter of days in perfect condition. The set-up with our HD DVR was a little difficult, and calls to Time Warner weren't much help when the support person insisted the 480i showing on the DVR was the DVR model number. We finally went to Time Warner's Web site and found the information we needed to get the set up to maximum resolution. We have had the TV a couple of months now and are very happy with it. A word to the wise -- if your order with Amazon "suggests" you purchase a Bargaincell HDMI cable for an extra $1.98, pass on it. We ordered the cable, and the audio was nonfunctional.

I found one dead pixel on this TV, but I guess if you don't want dead pixels then you have to test it in a shop and buy one in a shop instead of buying it online. I also found that it takes some for the grey-to-black, you can see ghosting effect. Also, consistent with the other reviews, it doesn't come with very good speakers, so better use some external speakers. I game a lot with my PS3 using this TV (the dead pixel still annoys me a lot, I guess when you get a Full HD you kinda demand perfection), and somehow it's harder to see the images when there's a lot of sunlight, requiring me to sit closer (and I have 25/20 vision). Overall, this is a good TV comparing price for price with other brands. With Sharp' new Kameyama state-of-the-art factory though, you'd think that they would have up-ed their quality a bit more.

This a great tv and the picture quality for HD channels is excellent. I also play my PS3 games with my this tv and I have to say that there is unbelievable sharpness with PS3 games. Overall picture quality and sound are great and the game button on the remote is very convenient. It helps while switching between game and tv programs. Setup was very easy with no hassel at all.

I bought this on a whim for $499 on Black Friday. Didn't set out to get one, but happened to be in line when someone else changed his mind. I normally research the heck out of these kinds of purchases but took a chance due to the price. If given a do-over, I wouldn't change a thing. Pros: -Typical LCD TV advantages (lightweight, low power consumption, low heat, no radiation, thin) -Very bright -Nice sound from the built-in speakers -Easy to set up -Internal HD antenna to pick up HD air signals (I used a $20 antenna to watch the bowl games before my HD service was installed) -Great HD display on 1080i -2 HDMI inputs -2 component inputs -S video input -RCA inputs -PC input w/sound -Easy to switch to letterbox feature for non-HD shows (which look bad when blown up to full screen) Cons: -Takes a long time (relatively) to display the picture when you turn it on -Takes a long time to cycle through the input devices--you have to go through all of them even if they aren't active -For some reason, wide shots sometimes look a little fuzzy during sporting events, though this could be caused by my cable provider -I could not find the proper code to program my remote, but my cable company sent me a 'learning' remote that allowed me to manually set each function. This could be a pain if you don't have that option Summary: If you can get a deal on this TV, then it should satisfy you. It's hard to beat for the money. Not all HD channels are equal, so it will take some time to figure them out (I'm still learning). Once you do, the difference is stunning. The resolution is such that it exposes the flaws of non-HD channels, so be prepared to change the settings for those. Also, I would recommend using component inputs or an HDMI input for DVD's or you are going to have a noticeable decrease in picture quality. Be prepared to deal with the hassle of finding a proper code for your remote if you want to consolidate remote controls.

I found this TV at a KMart on clearence for $510, great buy I must say, goregous picture as soon as it warms up (takes a minute or two, a little longer when its fresh out of the box) features are great and the price I paid was unbeatable. Highly recommend, only problem I have had is the universal remote that came with my cable box cannot find a code to use with it.
