Why move to HD?

Have you ever picked up a DVD of one of your favorite movies and been seriously disappointed that it didn't live up to the "big screen" experience? Your problem probably lies with your television. This is where High Definition Televisions enter the scene. With an HDTV (and a quality Home Theater System) you can get the same power and "pop" of a movie theater right in your own home. There was once a time when size was the most important feature in buying a TV was it's size, but those days are over. Now DPI is king. Make sure you're getting 1080p, and the highest resolution possible in your price range. Once that is in place you can worry about size. Prices are going down on HDTVs (now starting at about $800), so if you're in the market for a new television it may be time to consider the upgrade.
