Choosing a Hisense or Favi TV

When it comes to choosing a new television, there are countless brands out there: Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, GE, JVC, LG, Mitsubishi, Phillips, RCA, Samsung, and Toshiba are just a handful of the companies trying to get a piece of the TV market. So how does one of the smaller companies compete? By offering a similar product at a lower price. If you buy from any of the companies listed above, part of the price is in the brand name. Going with an unknown name can give you the same quality at a lower price. Here are a couple of brands that you may not be familiar with, but provide the best bang for your buck.

Hisense TV: Hisense is a company based out of China, although their products were not available directly in the United States. I say were because they have actually discontinued production. Some places still carry brand new models, but most that you find will be second hand so any purchased from has to be through the internet. However, this means an even lower price for you, and the reviews on the TV have been above average. They’ll also save you money in the long run as they consume 30% less power than other LCD televisions.

FAVI TV: FAVI is similar to Hisense in quality with a few tweaks here and there. For starters, they are still in production so you can easily find a new model. However, they are also internet only so all your shopping will be done online. One downside is that their largest model is only 42 inches, so if you were hoping for something bigger, you’ll have to look elsewhere. But they do have excellent customer reviews. Another quirk is that they don’t just have a standard black model. They are also available in white, pink, and red. So if you’re looking for a FAVI 42 inch white TV, you know where to go!
