This unique hard-wire power cable from Direct Wire allows you to hard-wire your receivers (with MiniUSB connector) to your car, boat, airplane, RV or ATV's power source or battery. Never worry about carrying batteries to power and charge your device again! This cable includes an inline fuse and voltage converter circuit board to convert input voltage of 10/12 to 30 volt DC down to the 5 volt DC for your Phone/GPS/PDA.

Pros & Cons :the black box is a little difficult to stash, i wrapped mine with electrical tape to keep it from causing rattles and stowed it pretty neatly.
