I saw an add for another brand advertised for the same price as the nuvi 200. After checking the reviews, I found the nuvi had much better comments. I bought the nuvi, and Amazon delivered in record time, as usual. I am so impressed with the product. Something that is not clear in the description is that the nuvi does have voice directions; it just doesn't announce street names. Instead of "Turn right on First Street," you get, "in .5 miles turn right." The display is clear, bright, and easily readable. I had it up and running within minutes. It only takes about one minute after having been off for a long time to resync to the satellites. If it has been off for only an hour or less, it is ready to use as soon as you turn it on. Mine shipped with the current map software, City Navigator 2009. So far, I love my Garmin :).

This is the 4th Garmin nuvi that I have purchased and the best price by far. I was the first to get one and I am sooo impressed with it. Very user friendly and very accurate. Have bought them for my sons (they were constantly borrowing mine) who can't find their way out of a paper bag and even they are able to navigate with it. I would highly recommend this product for anyone.

I purchased this item anticipating a trip into unknown areas. I loved the low price and easy use. The set up was quick and easy, and I started using it right away. My wife liked it also, so I bought a second one for her. She's not much of a techie, but still is able to use it without trouble.

I would recommend this for anyone not tech savey simple to use and do not attach to window of vehicle (will get stolen) just carry it with you any where.
Pros: It is one of the easiest GPS to use.
      Cons: NONE

      Magellan Maestro 3100
Good buy if you want a good GPS unit without all the other junk, MP3, Bluetooth
Pros: Ease of use , price , features , basic GPS unit. I don't need an MP3 player or bluetooth that come in the more expensive gps units. I have a cell phone that has bluetooth and MP3. If you are like me and will be only traveling in the great U.S. Of A .this unit is a must have. I love it.
Cons: None, the only reason I gave it 4 stars in the feature catagory is because it lacks some of the features of the more expensive units. Features which I don't need which makes it a 5 stars for me.

Great product, the Garmin Nuvi 270. Took a trip from Boston to Labrador City, Labrador and it was very helpful. Able to find distance to gas, food, lodging plus gave phone numbers to contact lodging in advance. Took a side trip to Boothbay Harbor, ME on the way back and was able to find lodging and restaurant openings in high season by calling ahead with info from Nuvi. Plan to use it in Europe in October to do the same things. Great to have map, directions, info on North America and Europe in one package under $300.

Great GPS and easy to use. Instructions are very limited but after a few minutes we found it to be very user friendly and pretty self-explanitory. The price was one of the best features.

Just returned back from France and Italy with this product which I purchased before traveling. Absolutely useless. Had me making u-turns on freeways, we nearly ended up in Spain on one trip while the device added 4 hours to a 1.5 hour trip. Rome was a joke as it consistently "updated" every 2 seconds and could never make up its mind. Tried it also for walking but you have to have an IFR pilots license to be able to work out directions. In built up areas like Paris and Rome it couldn't identify areas even when i was standing directly at the point of location and common restaurants and other attractions. The South of France was the worst and even when you tried to scroll out to a larger view to do some form of location pin-pointing the device kept going back to micro-map mode. Do not waste your money. Try one of the others that has Euro maps. I have a Garmin in my cars for the US and that is why i purchased this. The US Garmins are awesome but this product will do you more harm that good internationaly.

I work part time as a Real Estate agent and this has been a life saver, litterly. I no longer have to try to read and drive at the same time. For family uses as well. Locates anything you are looking for. This item was recommended to me by clients of mine and what a great idea. And not to add the price was much better on Amazon.

Best navigation I have had , highly recommended vs the competition brands such as my older Magellan 850. this device comes with an FM traffic receiver there is another model that comes with an MSN receiver, depends on your needs the MSN receiver may give more info but also costs more per month, so make your decision prior. the Blue tooth feature is the reason I bought this model, it will connect to your phone and the device is like an Iphone extension all my contact, sms, and last calls can be done via the GPS it works flawlessly , however would be nice if speaker quality would be better, the optional FM transmitter is there which is better once you find a good station, but annoying to switch from my XM radio into FM when I want to here anything from the GPS, Wish I have a line in into my stereo would be best way to achieve quality sound out of this device.

I like the features of this product, the design is sleek and it's easy to use. Unfortunately, Garmin has issues with updating it's map data. I took a trip to Myrtle Beach, SC last week, 2 weeks after purchasing and updating the device via the internet. My wife was craving good seafood so we plugged in seafood as our search and after driving for 45 minutes around Myrtle beach, we found that several of the resturants no longer exhisted and that several streets had been added making driving very difficult. In one small area the device was constantly trying to update the route and we never left the beaten path. This can be frustrating if you are in an area you are not familiar with. Overall I think it's a great tool I just hope Garmin can get their act together and update map data.

Excellent product; very simple to use; accurate as advertised. Just wish it had these two improvements: - An ability to mount to dashboards without having to use the adhesive mount. It would make it easier to see, use, and hear if it was on the dash and closer to the operator - An ability to save destinations for future use.

It would be hard to live without my Garmin...it's moved me across the country and helped me get around my new city. Highly recommended!

The Garmin Nuvi 650 is one of my greatest joys when it comes to useful gadgetry. It has taken all anxiety out of driving, especially at night. No need to ask for directions or strain one's eyes with a map. It is so easy to set up. California doesn't permit it on the windshield, so I have it right on the dash board. Installation takes two seconds. When I leave my car, it is easy to pop the Garmin into my purse. And it is so easy to program! Whether it is an address, an intersection or a store or building, it will find it for you. It is simply amazing. Best of all, it talks to you: "in 300 feet turn right on Shimel Rd." Suppose I miss the road, it patiently says, ""recalculating route," and then tells you how to proceed. It beats any backseat driver. I dislike to get lost at night, especially since road signs are hard to read (I'm 76) and so have declined many dinner parties because of the driving hazzle. NO more. Thank you, Garmin, the best gadget I ever had!! Roswitha McIntosh (author of The Madman & His Mistress--History in the making)
